4/7/21- 90 sandwiches from Tuscany Fresh Meats Deli and dessert from St. Stephen's Cafe delivered to Frontline Heroes at Brooks Memorial Hospital!
Eagle Project
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our brave nurses, doctors, and first responders have been working non-stop to keep us all safe and healthy.
Our goal is to provide 500 Chef Created meals for our local heroes!
Project Description
For my Eagle Scout Project, I want to tie together the elements of helping your neighbor, and of food bringing people together. I have many family members who work on the frontline of healthcare, and others who work in the restaurant industry. By partnering with restaurants to prepare fresh meals and delivering them to the hospitals, those who work at the hospitals do not have to worry about a meal. In turn, the restaurants also receive income and work.
Project Beneficiaries
The primary beneficiary of this project is the local Hospital Staff who are going to receive the meals.
There is also a secondary beneficiary, and that is the local restaurants. They are making the fresh meals for the hospitals, but at the same time they will be fairly compensated through the fundraising.
Leadership & Volunteers
One of the main requirements of an Eagle Project is to show leadership. As we are in the middle of a pandemic, showing leadership comes with even more challenges; nevertheless I plan on recruiting scouting and non-scouting families to help with the organization and delivery of the meals to the hospitals.
